My Story
I am a 40-year-old mom of two and a Duke University-trained Physician Assistant. After years of practicing conventional medicine, I found myself increasingly frustrated by a system that was very good at matching symptoms to pills — but not so good at asking why those symptoms were happening in the first place.
I started approaching medicine differently. Instead of asking "what drug treats this symptom?", I began asking "what is driving this symptom?" That shift changed everything — for my patients, and for my own health.
Why I Created Strategic Health Guides
Most people leave their doctor's office with a prescription and a 10-minute explanation. They go home and search the internet, where they find either oversimplified advice or overwhelming research papers written for other clinicians. There is very little in between — evidence-based, clearly written, actionable health information that treats readers as intelligent adults.
That is exactly what Strategic Health Guides is designed to be. Each guide is built on peer-reviewed research, written in plain language, and focused on practical steps you can take — not just information to absorb and forget.
My Approach to Health
I view the body as an interconnected system, not a collection of isolated parts. Thyroid dysfunction is not just a thyroid problem. Cholesterol is not just a statin deficiency. Hormonal imbalance is not just a prescription away from being solved. Every guide I write reflects this systems-based, root-cause philosophy.
I also believe strongly in the power of nutrition, lifestyle, and targeted supplementation — not as alternatives to medicine, but as foundational tools that conventional medicine too often overlooks. The research supports this. My guides bring that research to you in a format you can actually use.
